With each vote cast in the legislature, I think about the future of New Hampshire and preserving what makes this a great state. We are faced with budget shortfalls and a longstanding feud about how we fund education. We need to restore fiscal responsibility to state government to avoid harmful tax increases.

Even with our shortfalls, we still have one of the lowest tax burdens and healthiest residents in the nation. With better use of technology and improved long-term planning, New Hampshire can move forward as the envy of all other states. The time is now to fix our problems and keep our state moving forward.
